Report on social responsibility
Landsvirkjun has issued a report on the Company's social responsibilities. It is envisaged that performance indicators in this field will be issued annually from now on.
The report is prepared on the basis of criteria set forth in a draft of the ISO 26000 international standards for the social responsibility of companies.
The report provides details on Landsvirkjun's performance with respect to the economy, the environment and the community, with the material divided into chapters dealing with the company, its employees, the environment, the community and the electricity produced by Landsvirkjun.
