Ragna Sara Jónsdóttir appointed as Landsvirkjun's Public Relations Manager
Ragna holds an MSc degree in international business from the Copenhagen Business School and a BA degree in anthropology from the University of Iceland. She has been employed as a consultant at Nordic Business and Development for the past two years and has been involved in, among other things, the adoption of environmental and social responsibility strategies in companies. Ragna also managed the Nordic Business Outreach project for the UN Development Plan (UNDP) and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She was previously employed as a Commercial Counsellor in the Icelandic Embassy in Denmark.
Ragna worked as a journalist from 1998 to 2006, both in print (Morgunbladid) and in broadcast media at the Icelandic Bradcasting Service (RÚV). In 1999, she won an award from the Ministry for the Environment for her articles Landið og orkan (The land and energy) which were published in Morgunbladid. In addition to editing and overseeing documentaries and television programmes, Ragna has delivered numerous lectures on international business and corporate responsibility.
Ragna Sara's partner is economist Stefán Sigurdsson with whom she has two children.
