Landsnet
Landsnet hf. was established in 2005 when a new electricity act introduced deregulation in Iceland. The company is responsible for the transmission of electricity and power system operation. Landsnet operates in accordance with a special licence and is subject to the supervision of the National Energy Authority. Landsnets owners are Landsvirkjun (65%) and a number of Icelandic power utilities.
Landsvirkjun Power

Landsvirkjun Power (LVP) was established in 2007 and began operations at the beginning of 2008. LVP has 40 employees, the majority of which worked in the engineering and construction division of Landsvirkjun for a number of years. LVP's tasks include preparations, general research, design and construction of geothermal and hydropower stations for Landsvirkjun and power systems for Landsnet in addition to providing expert consultancy services to the subsidiaries and affilities of LVP. Mmoreover, LVP's goal is to seek opportunities internationally through direct participation in energy projects in other countries.

Fjarski Fjarski ehf. was established in 2000 and is fully owned by Landsvirkjun. Fjarski took over the telecommunications systems that Landsvirkjun has operated for a number of years for remote systems operations. The aim with Fjarski is to extend these activities and sell telecommunications services. Fjarski's telecommunications services are restricted to the business-to-business market.
Icelandic Power Insurance IPI is a captive insurance company whose object is to handle the insurance and re-insurance of Landsvirkjun's power stations and to manage project guarantees during construction.

Þeistareykir ehf. Þeistareykir ehf. was established in April 1999. The principal object of the company is to carry out energy research at Þeistareykir and to prepare power developments. Landsvirkjun owns approximately 32% in the company.
Netorka Netorka hf. is a shared measurement data and settlement company serving the Icelandic energy market. Netorka is responsible for the settlement and processing of sales measurements and managing changes to business terms between energy suppliers and buyers.
Farice Farice hf. was established in September 2002 for the purpose of preparing and operating the FARICE-1 submarine cable.
Orkuvörður Orkuvörður ehf. is responsible for the operation of the RES School for Renewable Energy Science in Akureyri. The RES School offers a one-year graduate (M.Sc.) programme in Renewable Energy Science. The goal of the company is to operate for public benefit, and any profits will be channelled back into the school.
Neyðarlínan

Neyðarlínan (The emergency hotline) is responsible for the operation of the emergency hotline 112. Neyðarlínan is also responsible for the operation of the Maritime Monitoring Station and the telecommunications station in Gufunes. Neyðarlínan owns and operates the telecommunications company Tetra Ísland.
DMM Solutions DMM Solutions ehf. is a software and consultancy company specialising in the manufacture of the DMM and Inspector.is IT systems, and providing consultancy services to clients using the systems.
Vistorka Vistorka (EcoEnergy) is a collaboration venue for the energy companies and research institutes that own Íslensk NýOrka (Icelandic New Energy). The goal of Icelandic New Energy is to engage in projects to test new hydrogen technologies and to promote the use of hydrogen in Icelandic society.
