Our exhibitions at Landsvirkjun's visitor centers offer insight into how electricity works, and a great opportunity to get to know power production from renewable energy sources. The exhibitions are open from the beginning of June to the end of August and are visited by thousands of travellers every year. In the summer of 2012 more than 23.000 visitors enjoyed our exhibitions.
Landsvirkjun's visitor centers are located at Krafla in the north-east, at Végarður by Fljótsdalsstöð in the East-fjords, and at Búrfell in the south. This summer Ljósafossstöð will also be open to the public as the Icelandic Boy and Girl Scout Association is hosting an exhibition, celebrating 100 years of scouting in Iceland.
