Environmental Impact Assessment
Landsvirkjun has submitted proposals for an assessment plan for exploratory drilling at Krafla in the Skútustadahreppur district where the company plans to drill up to four prospecting boreholes.
The proposal describes the planned project and site. It contains a discussion on the environmental issues that will be addressed in the assessment. It also specifies what data is available to be used in the assessment and what investigations are planned as regards the environmental impact assessment.
Members of the public are entitled to inspect the proposal and submit written comments which must be submitted no later than 14 January 2009 to the Planning Agency, Laugavegur 166, 150 Reykjavík.
