• All necessary permits have been obtained for the power plant at Búdarháls and construction has begun.
• Landsvirkjun is underway developing the geothermal areas Þeistareykir, Krafla and Bjarnarflag in the north-eastern part of Iceland.  Currently research drilling has revealed 100 MW of power that waits to be put to use.
• Research and preparations continue for three new power plants on the River Thjórsá.
