Landsvirkjun, an independent legal entity owned by the Icelandic State, invites tender for the Civil Works of the Búðarháls Hydroelectric Project in accordance with the Tender Documents BUD-01.
The Works are divided in three (3) LOT's, those being;
i. LOT-11, Sporðöldu Reservoir
Main features being two rockfill dams up to approx. 25 m high, 1 100 m and 170 m long respectively, and associated works like overflow spillway, diversion works, road- and bridgeworks, etc.
Main quantities:
Loose excavation 200 000 m³
Rock excavation 115 000 m³
Embankments 660 000 m³
Grouting 14 000 m³
ii. LOT–14, Headrace Tunnel
Main features being approx. 4 km long horseshoe shaped tunnel close to 15 m in height and 11 m wide, cross section ~140 m², and associated works like canals, rock support, tunnel intake structure, surge basin, adit to surge basin, etc.
Main quantities:
Loose excavation 22 000 m³
Rock excavation (surface) 120 000 m³
Rock excavation (underground) 560 000 m³
Sprayed concrete 13 000 m³
iii. LOT–15, Powerhouse
Main features being a surface concrete structure for two power units of approx. 40 MW capacity each with associated earthworks and tailwater canal, concrete intake structure and penstock concrete supports, etc.
Main quantities:
Loose and rock excavation 170 000 m³
Concrete 20 000 m³
Formwork 33 000 m2
Reinforcement 1 600 000 kg
Tenders are being invited for individual lots or any combination of lots.
The Works shall be fully completed in the autumn 2013.
