By using the supplier assessment, Landsvirkjun seeks to establish relations with suppliers and partners with the goal of improving value and taking environmental issues into account. Furthermore, Landsvirkjun intends to assess, approve and reward successes.
Landsvirkjun seeks to establish communications between companies to facilitate the solving of problems that may arise and to prevent costly delays. Furthermore, Landsvirkjun seeks co-operation with suppliers as regards the ratification of their capabilities and to monitor their ability to supply products and services that meet the requirements of the company.
Landsvirkjun prefers to consult with suppliers during the company's design and development operations in order to share knowledge and improve delivery processes for products and services.
Suppliers that meet the requirements stated in Landsvirkjun's quality systems are registered as approved suppliers.
