Lingering Shadows
This is the story of the Reynistaður brothers and the sad story of their death at the area south of Blanda Station called Kjölur. In the year 1780 the brothers Einar and Bjarni from the farm Reynistaður were sent to southern Iceland to buy sheep. During their journey back home over the highlands with a flock of 180 sheep they were caught in a snowstorm and died near Hveravellir. The body remains were not found until 65 years later.

Baski (Bjarni Skúli Ketilsson) was born in Akranes in 1966. Baski graduated from the Aki Akademie voor beldende kunst Enschede in the Netherlands with a BA in painting and aesthetics in 1998. Baski has held solo exhibitions at many European venues and received various awards.
