Kristín Linda Árnadóttir has been appointed as Deputy CEO at Landsvirkjun.
Kristín Linda was the director of the Environment Agency of Iceland for 11 years where she previously held the position of Director of the Administrative Division and also acted as stand-in Chairman. She also worked as legal counsel within the legal division of the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources between 1998 and 2007.
Kristín Linda is a Cand. jur from the University of Iceland and holds an LL.M from Lund University in European law and M.Sc from Lunds University International Master´s Programme in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (LUMES). She has studied management at the Saïd Business School in Oxford and has also worked as a sessional lecturer and examiner in Environmental Law at various Icelandic Universities.
Kristín Linda has participated in various international co-operations on environmental issues. She represented Iceland in the European Network for the Implementation of the EU Water Directive and in the European Network of the Heads of Environment Protection Agencies (EPAs). She is also a member of the management committee for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel scheme and is the Icelandic Chair of the Arctic Council Expert Group Meeting on Black Carbon and Methane (EGBCM).
