Iceland Geothermal Conference 2024

Meet Landsvirkjun at the Iceland Geothermal Conference 2024 at Harpa Conference Hall May 28.-30.

Landsvirkjun is a proud platinum sponsor of IGC 2024!

Moving Towards a Sustainable Future

Landsvirkjun is an energy company owned by the people of Iceland, and it generates electricity solely from renewable energy sources, i.e., hydro-power, geothermal power and wind power.

Established in 1965, we have almost 60 years of experience in renewable energy and currently operate 18 power stations across the country, generating over 70% of electricity generated in Iceland.

We operate three geothermal power plants, all located in the North-Eastern part of Iceland. They have a combined capacity of 155 MW and expansion potential up to 300 MW.

Landsvirkjun is open for R&D cooperation on various different aspects.
